In addition to the community hospital programs, the ACT Center has trained tobacco treatment specialists at four of Mississippi's state universities.

The treatment programs located on the university campuses includes both brief treatment and intensive treatment programs. Brief treatment can be provided by health care providers in the student health clinics. The intensive program offers an initial visit, six treatment sessions, medications, and follow-up appointments. Treatment is offered to students, faculty and staff at no cost to participants.
